We made a gingerbread house at a church Advent event on Sunday afternoon. We shared in the candy and fun with our neighbors. I met Adriana at school when Kendra and Edgar were in Kindergarten. Now our younger children, Katie and Ariana, have joined them and we spend many afternoons on the playground after school.
The girls were thrilled to see Disney on Ice with Grandma and Mommy this month. The four shows featured were Cars, The Little Mermaid, The Lion King and Tinker Bell. It was a very special experience to share with them...the lights, the skating, and the magic of Disney...
Sometimes it takes just the right costume to release your inner rock star. Kendra, generally more on the reserved side, found this to be true one evening as she put together this ensemble!
Kendra's class visited the Woodland Park Zoo. This trip was part of the Zoo education program where a guide led us on an exploration surrounding two different climate zones. The students were given the opportunity think about the animals and their environments in some new ways.
