Playtime in Oregon

We were in Portland with Chris' family for a week around Christmas.  Chris' brother, Kelly, flew up from California and we enjoyed several days with him.  There is nothing like shooting silly string at an Uncle or building your own snowman in a suprise snow storm!

The Christmas Musical

Kendra and Katie joined the Christmas musical at church this year.  They performed three times, including the early Christmas Eve service.  These pictures are from the chapel services for the Sunday School programs.  The video clip link below is from the Christmas Eve service.  Kendra's solo parts were verses within a song titled "Nothing is impossible with God."  Katie's solo began with the radio tune of "Happy Birthday, Jesus".  You can hear most of Katie's song and see the closing song on our church's facebook page:  scroll down to the posts for Dec 29th.  http://www.facebook.com/settings/?tab=privacy&section=profile#/MVPChurch?ref=search&sid=1372434857.1139846452..1 

Kendra meets the PE floor

Kendra tripped in PE as she raced across the gym floor.  Unfortunately, she was holding onto a square scooter and was unable to catch herself with her hands.  In addition, the gym floor is actually carpet.  So basically, Kendra had a severe rug burn from the bridge of her nose to her upper lip.  She was pretty sore for a few days but has healed nicely!

Merry Christmas

After decorating the tree, the girls started creating their own picture poses. I guess it is their way of spreading good cheer this holiday. So, from our house to yours...Merry Christmas!

Intro to Dance

This fall Kendra and Katie participated in an introduction to dance class at the Park and Rec center. They finished with a dance routine that they learned with their classmates. The class combined ballet, jazz, and cheer leading. They now have a new spirit about cheering during the football games we watch at home!

Carina at the Gym

Carina finished her Sports class this week. She had the best time when she was with her friend Annika.
